Types of Services Provided

Services offered include therapy, evaluations and social skills groups.

Dr. Stephanie will work with you and your child to help clarify the goals for treatment.

Dr. Stephanie primarily uses cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) in individual therapy, but also borrows from DBT, ACT, and internal family systems (IFS), with an emphasis on thoughtful case formulation rather than rigid adherence to any single model.

Individual therapy sessions typically last 50-55 minutes; usually about 10-15 minutes are devoted to communicating and collaborating with parents or caregivers.

Therapy services are offered for children struggling with anxiety/specific phobias, OCD, mood regulation and difficulties related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Dr. Stephanie is not accepting new teen clients unless they have or are suspected of having autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and are younger than age 16.

Telehealth services are offered to KY residents when appropriate.

Please be aware that after school appointment times are limited. Your child/ teen will likely miss school for therapy. A doctor’s note can be provided.

Insurance and Payment

Health Insurance plans accepted for therapy include United (Optum), Aetna and Cigna (Evernorth). Dr. Stephanie does not accept Anthem Blue Cross/ Blue Shield or Medicaid and does not provide Employer Assistance Program services.

For those families who prefer to pay out-of-pocket for therapy rather than using insurance benefits, the cost is $175/ session.

Testing/ evaluation services are provided on a self-pay basis only. Because of how insurance contracts are structured, Dr. Stephanie is only able to provide psychological evaluation services to clients whose insurance plans are not accepted in-network. More information can be found here.

Services are reimbursable through FSA and HSA. If you choose to pay out-of-pocket you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate (GFE).
